At Metallic Epoxy Flooring LLC we specialize in Flake Systems, Metallic Epoxy Systems, Single Color Epoxy Systems in Residential, Commercial, and Industrial spaces throughout New York. You must be willing to be flexible on your working location - most of our works are within the New York Tri State / Long Island area, however on occasions we also work out-of-state for leisure customers. Our projects can also be night work (out of hours working) to facilitate our customers opening hours, but also can be daytime works– therefore must be flexible on working times / shifts as they may change week to week (depending on the project we are undertaking).

We are looking for new team members who have experience applying epoxy flooring. Must be skilled in using flooring equipment such as grinders, mixers, vacuums, etc. Also, must be dependable, adaptable, and have great attention to detail skills.

ABOUT THE JOB - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Surface Preparation:

• Prepare surfaces for epoxy and resinous flooring installation by cleaning, grinding, and repairing as needed.
• Ensure proper substrate conditions for optimal adhesion.

2. Material Mixing:

• Mix epoxy and resinous materials according to specified formulations.
• Verify color matching and consistency for each flooring project.

3. Installation and Application:

• Apply epoxy and resinous coatings using various techniques, including trowel, squeegee, and roller applications.
• Execute decorative finishes, textures, and designs as per project requirements.

4. Quality Assurance:

• Conduct inspections during and after flooring installations to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Address any imperfections and ensure a smooth, even finish.

5. Equipment Maintenance:

• Maintain and clean tools and equipment used in epoxy and resinous flooring installation.
• Perform routine inspections and address any equipment issues promptly.

6. Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all flooring installation operations.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe working environment.

7. Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other crew members to complete flooring projects efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with project leads and supervisors.

8. Project Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of flooring specifications, material usage, and project details.
• Assist in generating reports for project documentation and quality assurance.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in applying Epoxy and Resinous Flooring.
• Knowledge of different coating materials, application methods, and surface preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with sandblasting equipment and processes.
• Ability to interpret project specifications and adhere to quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and the proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow project timelines.
