Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a CNC Machinist/Programmer located in Richardson, TX. The CNC Machinist/Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating a Haas TM-1 CNC Mill, Haas TL-1 CNC Lathe, as well as operation of a Jet JTM-1 manual turret mill and Marvel 8 Mark 2 bandsaws. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting test specimen prints and technical diagrams for test fixturing, operation of all shop machinery, ensuring equipment runs smoothly, ensuring a safe, clean, and well organized workplace, and providing guidance on good machining practice. The role involves maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing machining processes to uphold high-quality production standards. As a small shop, the ideal candidate will also be capable of providing guidance and direction to less experienced shop technicians on good machining practice and workflow optimization. The candidate must have experience in CAD/CAM (we will provide your preferred software).
Qualifications
- Proficient in Machine Operation, Machining, Cutting, Milling, and Turning
- Experience in Quality Control and Machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and design models
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Relevant technical certifications or an associate degree in a related field is a plus, but not required
- Experience with CAD/CAM software
