Purpose and Scope
This is a part-time and temporary position not to exceed 28 hours per week for approximately 6 months. The employee compiles & compares the test result data to the order's appropriate specifications to verify metallurgical compliance. It accumulates & preserves the completed Certificate of Test and related documentation as a historical record by regular shipments to imaging.
Responsibilities include :
- Ensuring that all information on each Certificate of Test is complete is accurate, and consistent when filling for Certification Processor.
- Metallography associates use Sample Tracking, Cert System, Thermal Treat Databases, and Metallus intranet applications.
- Collect, compile, measure, summarize, record, and report metallographic technical data.
