Install Crew Member Positions
Essential Duties:
Metals Direct is looking to fill multiple building install positions. Under direction and supervision of the Worksite Foreman, this position will be expected to perform job duties including but not limited to: operating all building specific required power tools, as well as climb, stand, sit, and operate on ladders and on roof tops within safety guidelines set forth by all applicable OSHA regulations. Position requires basic math skills and candidate needs to understand basic measurements such as reading a tape measurer. Position requires the ability to lift and transfer heavy material for extended periods of time. Position requires working in a team environment and using effective listening and communication skills.
Employment Standards:
All positions work with and around machinery and equipment, are in environments where safety gear is required, and staff are expected to use pertinent judgement with regard to safety regulations and policies while operating on company jobsites, property, and/or potential customer properties. We expect all company employees to adhere to all safety standards put forth by OSHA requirements, as well as company policies and regulations. Employees injured on the job are required to undergo drug and alcohol testing to ensure that safety standards are met.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Position may work outside of Shasta County for varying periods of time (this is on an as needed basis and appropriate compensation is given based on the needs of the job). Candidate must be comfortable working in inclement summer and winter weather conditions. This position requires the ability to lift and manipulate heavy materials continuously.

Candidate must be able to work independently, be action-oriented, and stay on task at all times. Candidate must be able to use effective written and verbal communication skills with co-workers, customers, and management, as well as possess active listening skills.
Special Considerations:
Possession of a valid California Drivers license
Possession of a valid California Commercial Driver’s License
OSHA compliant forklift operation Certificate of Completion
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
