Machine Operator - 1st Shift
The Trident Company has an opening for a Machine Operator - 1st Shift in Tulsa, OK.
The Machine Operator performs advanced production activities requiring a demonstrated high level of skill and proficiency in material handling, production processes and multiple machine operation acquired through extended experience and training.
The Trident Company is a multi-faceted metals service center providing non-ferrous metals nationally from locations in the Texas and Oklahoma markets.
Job Requirements
- Positions work pieces for processing
- Operates a combination of different machines to process work by cutting, burning, sawing, blasting, shearing, punching, grinding, bending or pressing.
- Uses gauges, calipers, squares or rulers for measurement
- Determines processing specifications such as materials, cutting tools, location of cutting lines, dimensions, tolerances and operational sequences by reviewing blueprints, work orders, tooling instructions or other written specifications
- Installs and aligns specified punches, cutting blades or other fixtures in machine bed using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, or hand tools.
- Adjusts controls to set cutting speed, depth and feed rates; and diagnoses problems and makes necessary adjustments.
- Performs quality control inspections on finished product; for ISO-certified locations, performs In Process Quality Inspections
- Coordinates and executes material handling of all inventories to be processed including operation of overhead crane
- Performs limited preventative maintenance, such as lubrication, cleaning and changing of parts.
- May train less experienced workers and perform as lead in absence of group leader.
- May mark identification on material/work pieces before processing
- May mark material after processing; store material for additional processing and/or shipping
- Restocks material
- Completes work order paperwork/documentation
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:- High school diploma or GED
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to measure with tape and convert English and Metric systems
- Ability to calculate and convert decimals and fractions
- Minimum experience two (2) years on multiple machines as operator
- Experience on overhead crane operation
- Candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen
