Essential Functions:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of and HR policies and procedures
- Facilitate the onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience for new employees
- Oversee the administration of the employee safety program, ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations
- Support performance management initiatives, including appraisals and development plans
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR matters with discretion and professionalism
- Research and assist in implementing industry best practices
- Manage leave programs, including FMLA, short-term disability (STD), and long-term disability (LTD)
- Assist in the maintenance and administration of the HRIS system
- Support various HR initiatives aimed at employee engagement, retention, and organizational development
- Assist in developing and executing departmental and company-wide strategic HR initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
- Three years of experience as a HR Generalist or related experience
- One or more years of manufacturing experience
- Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Employment Laws
- Strong customer service orientation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- HR certification a plus
