Role Summary
At MetaPhase, we combine bold thinking and cutting-edge technology to solve complex federal challenges—and we believe in doing it all with authenticity and heart. As a Cloud/Software Engineering Intern, you’ll join a mission-focused delivery team building secure, user-friendly, and scalable software solutions for government clients. This is a hands-on opportunity to grow your technical skills while learning Agile delivery in a real-world consulting environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Work with the latest AI/ML/LLM technologies to maximize software delivery speed and quality
- Devise solutions using the latest cloud computing platforms and services
- Write, test, and maintain clean, reusable code in modern languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, React, Node.js)
- Support the full stack development including backend APIs, frontend web applications, microservices, and cloud-based tools
- Collaborate with team members by participating in industry-standard Agile practice
- Partner with software developers and UI/UX designers to deliver high-quality, client-focused software using the latest DevOps and automation techniques
- Think creatively to troubleshoot issues and contribute to continuous improvement
- Adopt responsible coding practices by generating documentation and building knowledge repositories
Basic Qualifications (Required)
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, Go, Rust)
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows and branching strategies
- Basic understanding of frontend and backend development principles
- Passion for clean code, collaboration, and making an impact
- U.S. Citizenship is required (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Bonus Points
- Experience with frontend libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) or backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Flask, Spring Boot)
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with Agile development values and principles
- Participation in hackathons, open source projects, or personal software projects
- Interest in public service and technology in the federal space
