The role

We're looking for a senior software engineer, frontend to join our growing world-class engineering team. The role will be responsible for all aspects of our frontend, including our self-serve onboarding flow, web application, and notification system. If you love owning and shipping features to customers, are excited to improve our infrastructure and tooling, and are always learning and sharing best practices with the team, then this role is for you.

Your day-to-day at Metaplane

• Work with our product team and customers to design, build, and ship core features to the Metaplane platform using Typescript and React
• Build reusable components that level up every part of our web application
• Improve our frontend developer experience using tools like Gitbook, CircleCI, Datadog, and Sentry
• Maintain and improve monitoring and observability tools like Sentry and Datadog
• Debug and fix production issues affecting our customers
• Review code changes and design specs from teammates
  
  

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Has 3 years working with modern web technologies and frameworks like Typescript and React
• Has experience building flexible, composable components and libraries
• Has a get it done attitude - if your project needs an API endpoint, you’re willing to create it (even if you need help from a fellow engineer!)
• Has an extremely high bar for quality software - you can move fast and ship scalable code with the help of your team
• Enjoys being close to the customer and owning projects to completion
  
  

You'll Stand Out If You Have

• Desire to own engineering end-to-end. Our engineers engineer systems from scratch, deploy into production environments, and make sure the code is maintained.
• Love for talking to users, understanding their needs, and making sure your product meets their requirements.
• Appetite for working in fast-paced environments where you get to work directly with customers and make decisions that have a huge impact on the business.
• Desire to create and maintain an engineering culture of craftsmanship
• Familiarity with the modern data stack (e.g. Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, Looker)
