Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings. Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and condition changes, reporting any concerns to the healthcare team.
- Assist with discharge planning and coordinate care transitions for patients.
- Utilize electronic health records systems such as eClinicalWorks for documentation and communication.
- Participate in pain management strategies to ensure patient comfort.
- Conduct MDS assessments as required for appropriate patient care planning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for inpatient settings.
- Educate patients and families on health management and recovery processes.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license in good standing; compact license preferred.
- Experience in hospital settings or memory care facilities is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in ventilating patients and managing complex medical needs.
- Strong knowledge of pain management techniques and MDS processes.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly eClinicalWorks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
- Must be adaptable and willing to travel to various locations as needed.
