Description
The Payment Processing Clerk accurately intakes and processes funds received on behalf of our clients. Responsibilities include verifying the accuracy of the funds received, recording relevant payment information, preparing deposit slips, and reconciling deposit amounts. Individuals in this role are meticulous in their attention to detail, accurate, and efficient in working through each step of the financial transaction process.
Shift: Monday- Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm OR 2:30pm - 11pm
Pay: $14.85

Responsibilities:
- Receives incoming checks from clients, ensuring proper documentation accompanies each payment.
- Verifies the accuracy and completeness of each payment, including the amount, payee, and endorsement.
- Records appropriate details into the company's accounting software or database with precision and accuracy.
- Prepares deposit slips and package checks for deposit to the client's bank account.
- Maintains detailed records of all transactions and activities by using an organized filing systems to ensure efficient retrieval.
- Adheres to established procedures and guidelines for check processing and depositing.
- Monitors and reports any unusual or suspicious activities related to check processing to management.
- Communicates with appropriate parties on needed resolutions on discrepancies or issues related to payments.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and security of all financial information and documents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience with cash handling and or payment processing.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
- Basic computer operating skills.
- Observes safety and security procedures. Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly, Wear PPE and following all safety procedures. (Report any safety hazards to supervisor.)
