Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Right of Way Agent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring the necessary rights of way for various projects, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong research skills, a background in real estate law, and excellent customer service abilities. Familiarity with GIS and title processing will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research to identify property ownership and rights of way requirements.
- Engage with property owners, stakeholders, and government agencies to negotiate and secure necessary easements.
- Prepare and review legal documents related to property acquisition and right of way agreements.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely acquisition of properties for development projects.
- Maintain accurate records of negotiations, agreements, and project documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to property owners throughout the acquisition process.
- Utilize GIS tools to analyze land use and assess potential impacts on properties.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a law office or related field is preferred.
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze legal documents and property records.
- Knowledge of real estate law and regulations governing right of way acquisitions.
- Proficiency in GIS software is a plus.
- Experience in title processing is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
