Electrical CAD Designer

Job Summary : Client is seeking an Electrical CAD Designer with power and controls CAD experience within the utility industry, specifically related to the design and installation of pipelines, compressor stations, and process equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD skills, the ability to create detailed electrical schematics and diagrams, and experience collaborating with engineering and field teams to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct onsite facility evaluations and collaborate with engineers and field teams to define project requirements.
- Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams using AutoCAD and other CAD tools.
- Develop and update electrical layout plans, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control panel designs for natural gas distribution facilities.
- Review and incorporate markups, redlines, and revisions as directed by the engineering team.
- Select materials and prepare material lists based on standards, specifications, and operational requirements.
- Perform electrical calculations such as load calculations, conduit sizing, and equipment capacity.
- Ensure design drawings meet company specifications, regulatory, and safety requirements.
- Assist engineers in resolving design issues and developing effective solutions.
