Senior DevOps Engineer

Overview: As a Senior DevOps Engineer on the IT Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Special Programs team, you will drive transformation and innovation by designing, delivering, and operating cloud-based solutions. You will work closely with business units, external partners, and Cloud Service Providers to deploy secure, regulatory-compliant solutions while following best practices in automation, security, and cloud governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business units to implement cloud services that ensure compliance with government regulations.
• Work with external partners and Cloud Service Providers to align IT technology SME and Business Engineers for solution deployment.
• Design, develop, and implement technical solutions to address business challenges.
• Write, test, and maintain high-quality code that adheres to industry and enterprise compliance standards.
• Provide guidance on best practices for cloud adoption, automation, and security.
• Coordinate with Cloud Engineers to align solutions with Client Standards within the compliance framework.
• Continuously update technical documentation and ensure knowledge-sharing.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and maintain cloud certifications.
• Act as a mentor and learner, engaging in knowledge exchange with team members.
• Translate architecture roadmaps into actionable solutions.
• Support the adoption of cloud services across the organization using SAFE Agile methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5 years of IT experience, including 3 years of Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Expertise in scripting and automation using:
  • Terraform, YAML, PowerShell, Python, Azure DevOps (ADO)
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, preferably with hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
  • Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Purview, Teams, PowerApps, SharePoint, Intune, etc.)
  • Azure PaaS services (Logic Apps, Azure Monitor, Defender for Cloud, IoT Suite)
  • IaaS fundamentals (Compute, Storage, Networking, High Availability)
  • Azure Virtual Desktop deployment and support
  • Identity & Authentication (SSO, Federation, AD/Azure AD, ADFS, MFA)
• US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of hands-on Cloud experience, preferably with Azure.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline automation using Azure DevOps (ADO), YAML, Python, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
• Experience in cost management solutions for cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, Hub-Spoke model, On-prem, VWAN).
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (AzureSQL, MSSQL MI).
• Cloud certifications (AZ-400, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent).
• Experience in deploying and migrating mixed cloud architectures (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS).
• Passion for Microsoft technologies, Azure Cloud, and continuous learning.
