Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting

• Oversee all financial aspects of commercial construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Monitor job costs, contract profitability, and project performance metrics
• Develop and implement financial strategies to maximize profitability
  
  

Accounting & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industryspecific financial requirements
• Manage the monthend and yearend closing process, including reconciliations and reporting
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
• Maintain proper internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial integrity
  
  

Process Optimization & Strategy

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and reporting efficiencies
• Implement best practices for financial management in commercial construction
• Work closely with project managers and executives to align financial goals with business objectives
  
  

Leadership & Team Collaboration

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development
• Collaborate with senior leadership to support business growth and decisionmaking
• Act as a key liaison between the finance department and project teams
  
  

What You Bring to the Table

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
• 7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in commercial construction
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, and financial reporting
• Experience with construction accounting software such as Sage 300, Viewpoint, Procore, or similar
  
  

Must-Have Skills

• Indepth understanding of WIP (Work in Progress) reporting and contract accounting
• Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management
• Strong leadership and problemsolving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
