Logistics Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for coordinating and performing various shipping, receiving deliveries and pickups. Optimum communication, computer skills, technical knowledge with the ability to problem solve are critical. While much of the position is physical in nature, good communication and computer skills with the ability to problem solve are critical. The person will need a valid driver's license and good driving record. Must be able to pass a security check. 

Description of Duties:

 • Prepare and ship all outgoing items such as tested specimens, excess material, raw materials, and equipment.

• Create the necessary documents for all shipping, both domestic and international, according to customer instructions. 

• Responsible for scheduling the pick-up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order, which is conveyed via the shipping instructions.

• Receive and document all incoming deliveries and distribute using multiple computer systems and databases. 

• Responsible for the receipt and disposal of chemicals, materials, and adhesives, including the proper logging and tracking of the certifications & MSDS sheets. • Responsible for maintaining the company vehicle servicing and cleanliness. 

• Responsible for the forklift maintenance and operation log. 

• Assists with other departments as needed. 

The successful candidate will have... 

• High School diploma 

• 1 years of shipping/receiving experience

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. We will require proof of status prior to employment.
