Back Up Driver/Operations Crew Member

Operates delivery vehicles in order to pick up recyclables at customer locations. Responsible for correct segregation, labeling and packaging of materials when assigned. May assist with maintenance of equipment. Performs warehouse production activities when not driving, including use of tools and intellect to efficiently dismantle and segregate materials and to place segregated materials in designated containers.

• Supports and contributes to the maintenance of ISO Quality Management System and ISO Environmental Management System and related goals and objectives.
• Uses assigned safety equipment and follows all safety rules.
• Determines acceptable materials for recycling based on company procedures.
• As needed, evaluates and enters data into the company database for lots assigned.
• Assist in the proper training of all operators.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Coordinates with the supervisor regarding capacity and priority.
• Shares responsibility for the accuracy of production documentation reported to scheduling.
• If assigned, assists in the preventive and corrective maintenance for department equipment.
• Tracks vehicle maintenance and identifies unsafe conditions.
• Lends assistance to assure the success of our sales network, including open and accurate communications with all operations staff, or supervisors.
• Lend every assistance to assure the success of our sales network, including open and accurate communications with all Operations workers, the Operations Manager and staff.
• Insists on and maintains a clean, orderly, and professional work area and for the Operations department .
• Uses assigned safety equipment and mandated procedures and promotes all safety rules.
• When applicable records information and follows instructions as required using the database system. When applicable uses bar code scanner and scales in conjunction with system.
• Assist in the proper training of all operators or contracted workers assigned to do dismantling functions.
• Assist in the compliance to the publicized processing and plan in accordance to meet the needs of Operations staff, for material processed.
• When applicable, assists in the development and daily delivery of an accurate update to the completion status for each material lot received into his care. Coordinates with the Operations Manager regarding capacity and priority.
• Assist in annual and periodic physical inventories. Assist in trouble shooting inventory problems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
