Senior Software Developer (Houston, TX)

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to guide our web and mobile applications development team. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the software development lifecycle, maintaining up-to-date industry and market knowledge, and reinforcing a culture of high-quality software development.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with the development teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.
  • Work closely with UI / UX designers to translate design concepts into interactive and visually appealing experiences.
  • Provide technical estimates and perform technical risk assessments for project planning.
  • Ensure that solutions meet regulatory, security, industry standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Deliver high quality projects and products on-time and on-budget.
  • Coach and mentor the development team to grow our skill base.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 8 years of experience as a Web and Mobile Applications Developer.
  • 3 years of leadership experience in guiding and managing web and mobile application development teams.
  • Familiar and up to date with modern web development tools and methods.
  • Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining full stack, end-to-end applications including enterprise solutions, iOS and Android mobile development.
  • Proficiency in the following languages : C / C , JavaScript, C#.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Vue).
  • Experience with server-side technologies, such as Node.js and .NET.
  • Understanding of the UX / UI process and ability to translate UI designs to application implementation.
  • Best practices for CI / CD and version control.
  • Security minded and familiar with best practices in cyber security.
  • Experience implementing authentication and access control.
  • Able to effectively analyze project requirements and create execution plans.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Understanding and experience with the full software development lifecycle and requirements development.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology, processes, and tools.
  • Must be a team player with excellent leadership, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

    • Desired Qualifications :

  • Understanding of web server technology, e.g. NGINX or Apache.
  • Familiarity with Graphic Engines (e.g. Unreal Engine or Unity).
  • Production software hosting and deployment.
  • Familiarity with microservice architecture and API development.
  • Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud native system design (e.g. AWS, Azure).
  • Exposure to machine learning and data science applications.
  • Exposure to mobile application development frameworks.
  • Experience with additional languages (e.g. Go, Python).

    • Citizenship or lawful permanent residency required due to the possibility of working on a federal contract.
