Our Mission
Provide building owners and occupants with accurate and reliable utility consumption data through market-leading expertise in turnkey submetering and billing, while fostering a workplace with inspired team members empowered to do more good.
The position is part of the Technical support team which is responsible for defining design standards and best practices, leading cross-functional integration projects across departments/subsidiaries, conducting energy analysis of multiple commodities, and performing other ad-hoc technical tasks.
Typical Daily Responsibilities:
- Perform market research, evaluate new and existing 3rd party products and applications, and prepare technical support documentation for relevant departments
- Provide technical training to Field Technicians, Project Managers, Logistics Coordinators and external parties as required
- Perform analysis of electrical, water, thermal and gas data across Metergy & Quadlogic’s portfolio to provide insights on energy consumption patterns across different HVAC technologies to develop relevant energy allocation strategies
- Analyze electrical and mechanical drawings to provide guidance and support on sub-metering system design principles for electricity, water, gas and thermal services in residential, commercial and mixed-use properties
- Create schematic diagrams in AutoCAD LT for new-construction and retrofit projects detailing project summary, bill of materials, and sub-metering installation requirements
- Maintain building portfolio Meter system cross reference.
- Collecting meter data manually in case of scheduler data collection failure or it been requested by billing team.
- Produce Engineering Reports focusing on outlining challenges and providing solutions for current and new products, practices, and processes
- Provide technical expertise on communication and AMR (Automated Meter Reading) equipment to improve business Operations troubleshooting procedures
- Review, perform root cause analysis and see through corrective actions as part of the resolution of non-conformances identified through Metergy’s quality management system
- General Sales Support and Customer Care - Handling customer calls, order-entry process, liaison with Shipping Department and Production Department, tracking purchase orders and fulfillment of orders, follow-up on deliveries as needed, commission tracking and reporting, etc...
- Customer Technical Support – handle customer technical needs such as remote (phone and e-mail) and on-site installation support.
- Help with design packages for hardware sales so that the scope of responsibilities, list of equipment is clear along with installation instructions…etc.
- Assist with feature request implementation and high-level problem solving involving
- Identify and deliver on continuous improvement opportunities
- Other technical tasks as required

- An understanding of electric, gas and / or water utility billing and rates is a plus but willing to train the right candidate
Requirements
- College degree – Preferred Electrical/Mechanical engineering
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Auto CAD
- Have a strong background in troubleshooting and problem solving
- Working knowledge of electrical & mechanical systems, including electricity distribution, DCW and DHW systems, fan coil/heat pump systems in multi-family and commercial buildings
- Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with data aggregation and analysis
- Project Management skills to concurrently delivery multiple projects
- Comfortable working independently
- Detail oriented
