Position Summary
The Manager, Finance and Accounting (US) will join the Metergy finance team in Markham, Ontario and support business in the US.
This is a Hybrid role with 3-4 days in office (Markham) per week and mandatory travel to the US once a month (for 2-3 days).
Responsibilities
- Support month end closing process including the preparation, review and approval of journal entries;
- Prepare complex reconciliations of key financial data to source systems performed on a monthly basis;
- Compile, analyze and report on key business operating metrics / drivers, including ability to link operating and financial trends and variances;
- Develop, implement and monitor financial controls;
- Prepare consolidated financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis and actively participate and lead the resolution of technical accounting issues, including coordination with auditors;
- Assist in preparation of various analyses and reports for senior management to support their business decision making, and for the board of directors including monthly and quarterly board reports;
- Involvement with preparation of forecasting and business planning process;
- Ad-hoc analyses and presentations on financial and operational results, as well as supporting any special projects i.e. ERP implementation (D365)
