The Server is the telecommunication line in the restaurant; their communication style needs to be concise, clear, and courteous. Servers need to be knowledgeable about all aspects of the restaurant and city: food, beverage, service standards, local attractions, entertainment, etc. If they don’t know an appropriate response, they will seek it. Servers at FORTH Atlanta will be guidebooks not only for the restaurant but for the city. They will be snappy with their knowledge, quick on their feet, and calm of mind and body. They will constantly strive to expand their knowledge and willingly share with other staff members to ensure the strongest team possible.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests to their tables with genuine enthusiasm and a warm smile, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
- Adhere meticulously to established service standards and protocols, ensuring that every aspect of the dining experience meets our luxury standards.
- Ring in orders promptly and accurately, demonstrating precision and attention to detail in every transaction.
- Offer genuine suggestions for beverages and food items, demonstrating a sincere interest in enhancing guests' dining experiences rather than merely upselling.
- Check in with guests after courses are delivered within an appropriate timeframe, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
- If a guest expresses dissatisfaction or has a concern, escalate the matter to a manager immediately and collaborate to find a satisfactory resolution.
- Assist bartenders with proper rotation and polishing of glassware, silverware, and other service items, ensuring a pristine and well-organized dining environment.
- Inform a manager if any supplies are running low or if replenishment is needed, demonstrating a proactive approach to maintaining adequate inventory levels.
- Interact with guests and colleagues with impeccable manners and professionalism, reflecting the sophistication and elegance of our luxury brand.
- Possess a strong, upbeat, and positive personality, embodying the spirit of hospitality and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and colleagues alike.
- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to high standards and attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of the dining experience surpasses expectations.

Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a high-volume steakhouse
- Previous experience as a server in a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or cocktail lounge preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to create memorable experiences for guests.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the business.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS certification) preferred
Working Conditions/Environment
- The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
- Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
- The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
