Book Tower and Method Hospitality have welcomed a series of new food and beverage concepts to the growing scene in downtown Detroit. Le Supreme and Bar Rotunda are looking for a skilled Restaurant Manager to join their team.
Le Suprême, offers all-day French fare in the brasserie’s elegant dining room, alfresco, in the restaurant’s bar or within its private dining room. Enter off Washington Boulevard or through The Rotunda to indulge in a menu comprised of Parisian specialties as well as fresh pastries, breads and desserts from the adjoining patisserie and boulangerie. Le Suprême’s full-service bar will also offer a curated cocktail program and a selection of over 300 world-class wines and champagne.
Bar Rotunda, serves as an all-day cafe and wine bar, with coffees, pastries, small plates, wine and cocktails offered at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Canopied by The Rotunda, Book Tower’s marble arched atrium and 100-year-old Kamper-glass skylight, the design and service are inspired by the grand cafés and venerable hotel bars of early twentieth-century Paris.
The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for supporting and executing service within Le Suprême and Bar Rotunda. The strongest candidate will display innate leadership qualities and an ability to attract, motivate and retain talented team members. Restaurant Managers should show a strong work ethic and be dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of hospitality. The Restaurant Manager supports the General Manager and Assistant General Manager in all operational aspects of the business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure service standards are maintained and exceed
- Update and track daily labor and sales reports
- Interview, screen, and recruit job applicants
- Coach and train staff
- Responsible for team performance – morale, productivity
- Keep General Manager informed of key issues
- Increasing sales through marketing, networking and incentives for staff to raise guest check average.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving and creative solution generation skills
- Identify problem areas, develop solutions
- Able to delegate effectively
- Able to work long hours standing and walking
Fiscal Responsibilities:
- Increasing sales through incentives for staff to raise guest check average
- Review monthly profit and loss statement and act on all variances
- Monitor activities and expenses including inventory and labor
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years fine dining management experience
- General business acumen and analytical skills
- Expert knowledge of all Restaurant computer systems
- Able to quickly integrate into a team and be recognized as a leader
- Understanding of costing and forecasting

Working Conditions/Environment
- The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight to 10 (8 to 10) hours per day.
