The Host/Hostess is the first and the last face the guest sees. That is, they are the first impression and the lasting impression. The host must be organized, calm, and dripping with hospitality.
Host Job Responsibilities:
- Strong, upbeat and positive personality
- Upon arriving, the host should look through the day’s reservations and clock any special notes, ironing out plans to accommodate guest needs/celebrations
- The ability to communicate with management and Chefs
- Maintain proper phone etiquette, following established protocols
- Keep an organized host stand, clean and tidy as necessary
- Commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail
- Passion for food, beverage and hospitality
- Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Team oriented mentality

Required Experience:
- Previous experience as a host/hostess in a fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel setting preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Proficiency in using restaurant reservation systems and other hospitality software preferred.
- Passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to create memorable experiences for guests.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the business.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS certification) preferred.
Working Conditions/Environment
- The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
- Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
- The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
