The Host is the first line of communication with our guests; their communication style needs to be concise, clear, and courteous. Hosts at FORTH Atlanta will be guidebooks not only for the restaurant but for the rest of what FORTH Hotel & Club has to offer. They will be snappy with their knowledge, quick on their feet, and calm of mind and body. They will constantly strive to expand their knowledge and willingly share with other staff members to ensure the strongest team possible.
Host Job Responsibilities:
- Strong, upbeat and positive personality
- Warmly greet all guests as they walk in the door and thank them and wish them well as they leave
- Upon arriving, the host should look through the day’s reservations and acknowledge / react to any special notes, ironing out plans to accommodate guest needs/celebrations
- The ability to communicate with management and Chefs
- Maintain proper phone etiquette, following established protocols
- Keep an organized host stand, clean and tidy as necessary
- Commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail
- Passion for food, beverage and hospitality
- Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Team oriented mentality
- Dependability

Required Qualifications:
- Outgoing, friendly personality and the willingness to learn what true hospitality is all about!
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a team player with a strong work ethic
- The ability to stand / be on your feet for long periods of time
Working Conditions/Environment
- The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
- Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
- The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
