As a Supervisor in In Room Dining, you will be responsible for creating exceptional experiences for our guests. You are responsible to ensure that all areas of the room service operation are functioning effectively, from ordering and stocking to scheduling and training staff. A Room Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the entire process, from start to finish.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be familiar with the organization of the Restaurants and Lounges as well as service areas such as minibar
- Perform opening and closing duties for each shift, and check on the same for waiters
- Set trolleys and trays according to orders and standards
- Accurately record and coordinate all orders delivery and tray pick up
- Promptly answer the IRD phone as needed within 3 rings and to the Preferred standard
- Ensure clear and effective communication with the kitchen and other associates
- Be familiar with the operation of the POS System.
- Ability to understand guest needs and to handle complaints
- Ensure that hot food is maintained and delivered hot, and all cold items are delivered cold
- Ensure that trolleys and tray are promptly removed from guest rooms and corridors
- Knowledge of guest profile and special requests
- Inspect, plan and ensure that all equipment is kept clean and organized
- Check storage areas for proper supplies, organization and cleanliness
- Raise requisitions for additional supplies when needed
- Assist in training of the team
- Assist in the inventory of minibar items and ensure guest folios are charged as needed
