The Pool Host at our luxury hotel is responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our exclusive members and guests at the pool area. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Pool Host will ensure the pool area is clean, organized, and meets the hotel's high standards, while also assisting guests with their needs and ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests to the pool area, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Assist guests with finding available seating, setting up towels, and providing information about pool services and amenities.
- Monitor the cleanliness and organization of the pool area, ensuring all areas meet the hotel's high standards.
- Assist with the distribution of towels, sunscreen, and other poolside amenities.
- Ensure compliance with pool safety regulations and hotel policies, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
- Handle guest inquiries and requests, providing accurate and helpful information about the pool area and hotel facilities.
- Coordinate with pool attendants and lifeguards to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
- Manage reservations for cabanas and poolside seating, ensuring availability and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with the organization and execution of special events or promotions at the pool.
- Monitor the supply of poolside amenities, coordinating with the housekeeping and purchasing departments to ensure adequate supplies.
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pool Manager or Hotel Management.
Required Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a luxury hotel or pool environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of pool safety regulations and first aid is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform light physical tasks.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Working Conditions/Environment
- The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
- Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
- The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
