Location: New York, New York | Hybrid – 4 days in the office near Bryant Park
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Filing Representative (Expeditor) to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that construction, renovation, and development projects comply with NYC building codes and zoning regulations. You will serve as the liaison between our clients and city agencies, streamlining the permit and approval process for a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Filing and Submissions: Prepare and submit construction permits, zoning applications, and related documentation to the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) and other agencies.
Regulatory Compliance: Review plans and applications to ensure compliance with local building codes and zoning laws. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve discrepancies.
Agency Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact with NYC regulatory agencies, including the DOB, DOT, FDNY, and DEP. Attend meetings and provide updates on project progress.
Project Coordination: Track permit and application statuses, follow up on approvals, and resolve issues related to rejections or violations.
Client Support: Advise clients on regulatory requirements, filing procedures, and project timelines.
Research and Analysis: Stay informed of changes to local building codes and regulations, advising clients on their potential impact on projects.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience: 3 years of relevant experience in field
High school diploma or equivalent (required for Class 1 Filing Representatives).
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
