Methodist FSED Converse
whois responsible to the Director, Vice President andor the Chief NursingOfficer for facilitating, coordinating and delegating the delivery of patientcare to a defined group of patients during their entire hospitalizationperiod. She is responsible 24 hours a day for the staffing and management ofpatient care in each of hisher units, for promoting the practice ofprofessional nursing in a specified patient care area, and for theacquisition, development, and utilization of resources (human and material)needed to fulfill those responsibilities. What you will do in this role :
Builds and maintains a high functioning team. Provides leadership and direction for staffing their unit(s) in accordance with the organizational goals and objectives. Identifies modifications in staffing based on patient acuity and census.
Manages personnel including interviewing, work allocation, orientation and training, staff development, problem resolution, evaluating performance, making recommendations for personnel actions, and motivation of employees to achieve peak performance. Is responsible for meeting unit productivity targets.
Plans, organizes, facilitates and directs patient care delivered on the unit on a 24 hour basis in accordance with recognized and accepted internal (e.g. unit, department, and hospital) and external (e.g. TJC, Medicare, OSHA) standards.
What qualifications you will need :
Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma Required
Bachelors Degree in Nursing Preferred
1 years applicable experience Required
3 years applicable experience Preferred
Or equivalent combination of education andor experience
Current license to practice professional registered nursing in the state of TexasMethodist ER Converse serves the Converse and surrounding area. We providecrucial care to patients in need. We are a 12,650 square-foot, 247freestanding emergency center. Our facility features 12 all-private treatmentrooms and a full range of services. Services include radiology, full-servicelaboratory, telemetry and immediate intervention. We offer 24-hour monitoringand testing of cardiac patients. We are committed to urgent and qualitypatient care. We feature unique use of a Picture Archiving CommunicationsSystem (PACS).This system allows staff to electronically transmit diagnosticimages.
