Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing care and support to youth in a group home setting.
Responsibilities:- Teach youth essential skills in social, self-help, independent living, maintenance, and academic areas
- Provide guidance and training in moral, spiritual, and physical development to assigned youth
- Collaborate with the public-school system to ensure effective educational support
- Maintain a normalized home environment that fosters close family relationships among youth
- Offer counseling, direction, and support to youth as needed
- Develop individualized plans of care for each youth
- Work closely with parents, teachers, social workers, and significant others to ensure effective programs of youth care
- Under the direction of teaching parents, manage daily operations and maintain records
Methodist Family Health requires full COVID-19 vaccination and flu shot compliance for all employees.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in human services or education preferred
- Experience working with children or special needs populations preferred
- Possess valid Arkansas Driver's License and be insurable to operate company vehicles
- Physically capable of restraining youth and performing various maintenance tasks
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods
- Good auditory, visual, and olfactory ability required
