Job Overview:
The Clerical Associate (CA) coordinates daily unit functioning to assist RN, physician, ancillary and support staff to provide high quality patient care. They also provide superior service to all internal and external customers. The CA must be able to demonstrate the proper use of communication devices to carry out unit functioning. The ability to communicate technical and regulatory requirements to key stakeholder groups, including patient and family, accurately and in a service-oriented manner is required.
Unit Description:
The Medical/Surgical, Telemetry Unit is a 45-bed unit located on the third floor at Deaconess Henderson. Care is provided via an interdisciplinary process on a 24-hour basis, 7 days per week to adult in-patients and observation patients. Diagnoses treated include, but are not limited to: diabetes, COPD, pneumonia, bronchitis, asthma, CHF, post MI, CVA, GI and post-surgery.
Required: Certifications/Licenses/Education:
- Basic Life Support: Health Care Provider, within six months of hire.
- Completion of a high school education or equivalent (GED) preferred
- Successfully completes Epic class as required by care center/unit.
