Methodist Home for Children is seeking a compassionate and driven Prevention Specialist to provide vital support to individuals and families referred by the Onslow County Department of Social Services.As a Prevention Specialist, you will offer voluntary, time-limited case management, conducting assessments and connecting families to resources that address housing, food, medical, and mental health insecurities. This role serves all ages and requires building strong relationships with community partners and clients.Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct clinical assessments and connect clients to community resources.
- Serve up to 15 cases at a time, with meaningful aftercare check-ins.
- Work closely with Onslow County DSS to create positive change.

- Provide 5-12 hours of onsite services weekly at the Onslow County Human Services building.
- Offer 24 / 7 availability to support client needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely case documentation.What We're Looking For :
- Education : Master's degree in a human services field (licensure preferred).
- Experience : At least 2 years in social work, counseling, or a related field.
- Skills : Strong communication, flexibility, and a commitment to ethical practices.
