Job Summary and Qualifications
Under general supervision, supervises the activities of food service personnel engaged in the preparation and serving of meals. May occasionally have sole responsibility to open / close and supervise the food service department.
Essential Job Functions :
Maintains or exceeds department standards for accuracy, cost, appearance, quality, and timeliness.
Demonstrates, understands, and practices safe food handling techniques. Including dating / labeling, time / temperature measurements, correcting critical control issues.
Demonstrates leadership, initiative, and creativity in working with the food service employees to achieve the daily goals and tasks.
Encourages a team- oriented environment that enhances productivity and morale and assigns staff to accomplish daily tasks and goals.
Corrects issues with food / equipment as quickly and appropriately as necessary to provide all customers with a quality product.
Completes all quality assurance, and performance improvement projects accurately and in a timely manner.
Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Related Characteristics (KSAOs) Minimum Education and Experience : 2 years food service experience required.
Minimum License and Certificates Required : Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date.
