Job Description
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Related Characteristics :
Education : Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine training program
Experience : 2 years experience as a nuclear medicine technologist in a hospital setting
Completion of initial and ongoing training and competencies specific to the needs of the patient population served.
Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required :
One of the following : ARRT (R), ARRT (N), ARRT (T), or NMTCB
Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification from Texas Department of Health
Essential Job Functions :
Supervises assigned personnel to ensure effective planning and operation of the nuclear medicine section, evaluates employee performance, and motivates staff for optimal productivity.
Facilitates meetings that promote a collaborative environment, encouraging team members to share ideas, ask questions, and develop effective work dynamics.
Maintains equipment service records and inventory, collaborating with vendors to ensure equipment uptime without disrupting patient care.
Considers the broader context of work processes and effectively communicates decisions to management that may impact other sections of the organization.
Analyzes data to identify relevant issues, define problems, and evaluate potential solutions based on factual information.
Efficiently utilizes resources to meet productivity standards in collaboration with departmental leadership.
Additional Job Functions :
May have access to radiopharmaceuticals, contrast agents, and other medications relevant to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Embodies the mission and values of the Methodist Healthcare System by demonstrating exceptional customer service.
Complies with safety policies and protocols and actively participates in creating a safe work environment for all.
Adheres to the MHS Code of Conduct and ethical standards, reporting any actions that may violate company policies.
