Job Summary and Qualifications
The Financial Analyst assists the Chief Financial Officer in the month-end reviewing of financials and statistics. Works closely with the CFO, Vice-President of Finance and Controller regarding financial issues. Gathers information needed in the monthly operations reviews with Methodist Healthcare System. Assists with the accounting and budgeting procedures for their assigned area. Prepares schedules and graphs for operations reviews, budget reviews management meetings, etc.
Essential Job Functions :
1. Assists in the Financial record keeping and reporting for their assigned area.
2. Works closely with the CFO, Vice President of Finance and Controller to prepare and monitor the operating and capital budgets.
3. Participate with the CFO, Vice President of Financial and Controller in budget preparation and reviews. Prepares schedules and gathers information for operations review, budget reviews, management reviews, etc.
4. Performs special analysis as needed
5. Assists the accounting and budgeting procedures for their assigned areas, and provides budget input to CFO.
6. Provides financial information that enables senior management to make informed long-term and short-term decisions.
Additional Functions :
1. Develops cost savings and operational systems and programs to be implemented throughout the system
What qualifications you will need :
Minimum Education and Experience :
1. Required - Bachelor Degree and preferably in Accounting or Finance
2. Requires a minimum of three years experience in a responsible accounting or financial position, preferably within a healthcare setting
