What You Will Do
- Clinical Practice Expert: Provides advanced level of direct and indirect care to individual patients/families and/or groups of patients/families.
- Education: Provides leadership and collaborates with other health professionals and educational resources to establish staff education programs to address the specific needs of populations of patients.
- Evidence-Based Consultant & Researcher: Demonstrates collaborative leadership with researchers, nurse leaders, clinical staff and other health professionals, to generate knowledge and make practice changes based on research findings, as well as, the results of the organizational and departmental quality improvement processes.
- Clinical Leadership: Provides leadership in meeting system goals, at the organizational, division, and departmental level.
- Demonstrates accountability for professional responsibilities and self-development.

- Proficiency in applying advanced concepts, principles, and professional techniques in a specialized field of nursing.

- Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact.
- Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.
- Exposure to excessive heat or cold as required.
- Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
- May require handling or administering of narcotics.
- Ability to read and write to communicate orally and in writing with other individuals.
