Role Overview
The Rad Tech II plays a vital role in carrying out the mission of our organization by providing exceptional care to patients through radiologic procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs high-quality radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods to minimize radiation exposure.
- Determines technical and positioning factors to obtain quality images while maintaining ALARA guidelines.
- Makes patient care-related judgments and implements actions within legal, professional, and ethical standards.
- Explains procedures to patients, answers questions, and observes for distress or difficulty, reporting incidents as needed.
- Assists in developing others through guidance and teaching, promoting professional practice among team members.
- Monitors compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, policies, and procedures.
- Effectively manages resources, including supplies and equipment, to ensure efficient job completion.
- Demonstrates professional work behavior and excellent customer service in all interactions.
Requirements
- Technical Degree or Diploma in Radiology
- 1-3 years of experience as a Rad Tech
Skills and Abilities
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external customers
- Demonstrated clinical competencies in radiography imaging equipment and procedures
- Basic knowledge of radiology information systems

- BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association
- Registered Radiologic Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
