Responsible for establishing current and long-range direction of health information technology infrastructure and support services aimed at keeping the organization on the forefront of change with current best practices and policies for a large IT Division and compliance with Regulatory IT requirements. This may include the creation of strategic IT plan or road map with analysis of purchased systems, hardware and software, and the internal design and development of strategy/roadmap of hardware and non-clinical software systems across acute, ambulatory and community care divisions. This position provides technical advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures, and oversees the implementation of IT components of an enterprise IT strategic roadmap that includes design, implementation, marketing and maintenance of technology projects or product lines. It also analyzes new technologies including bio-med devices and runs competitive analysis, and promotes the interfacing and control of the organization's present technology and the dissemination of technological information throughout the organization and to key external stakeholders.

What You Will Do
- Responsible for establishing technical vision and leading all aspects of information technology infrastructure development and implementation, internal customer support.
- Partners with internal stakeholders such as Operational Presidents, Web Services, Clinical Engineering and Facilities technology infrastructure and standards.
- Responsible for establishing technical vision and leading all aspects of information technology infrastructure development and implementation, internal customer support.
- Works closely with management, all Information Technology teams, and external partners to architect and maintain reliable, available and cost effective infrastructure.
- Responsible for the overall scope, standards and quality of technology support, upgrades and new projects.
- Responsible for overall project risk assessment of IT infrastructure and services including critical path, resource availability, conflicting priorities and barriers.
- Communicates project status at Sr. Management, Team and Governance Meetings.
- Advises Sr. Management about timely investments in appropriate new technology and evaluates new technologies and keep abreast of technology trends.
- Serves as a liaison to hospital executive teams and corporate divisions including but not limited to Quality, Strategy and Planning (Web Services), Aligned Physician Services, Clinical Engineering Services, Facility Management,
- Responsible for overall project quality assurance and resource management of IT infrastructure and support services.
- Provides visible leadership for MLH within the technology community.
- Establish and manage MLH’s technology capital and operating budget.
- Establish current information technology best practice standards and ensure adherence through leadership and governance.
- Provides oversight and leadership in contract negotiations and development of cost models that address capital operating and replacement cycles.

- Technical experience in architecture, design, implementation and maintenance of IT Infrastructure and support services preferably in multi-campus Integrated Delivery Network health organization.
- Solid understanding of office equipment and communications technology, transaction processing, and database administration
- Sound working knowledge of current and future HITECH regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of healthcare automation across multiple venues of acute, ambulatory, community in both academic and community environments.
- All aspects of Project management and quality management in a large IT Division.
- Effective negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Manages associates and leaders within Network and Telecommunications, Enterprise Platform and Process Improvement along with influencing and indirectly managing others in IT.
- The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
- Must have good balance and coordination.
