Serves as the Women's Health Specialist and change agent for a defined patient population by incorporating the role of clinical expert, role model, consultant, mentor, researcher, and leader. Provides Women's Health clinical expertise to individual patients/families and/or groups of patients/families by providing direct and indirect patient care to women and infants. Collaborates with the health care team in assessing, designing, implementing, and evaluating population-based programs of patient care to enhance high quality-cost effective patient outcomes. Serves as key clinical expert to the system, regarding Women's health and collaborates with physician leadership and executive team. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

What You Will Do
- Clinical Practice Expert: Provides advanced level of direct and indirect care to individual patients/families and/or groups of patients/families.
- Mentoring: Provides leadership and collaborates with professional and educational resources contributing to staff education programs to address the specific needs of women and infants.
- Evidence-Based Consultant & Researcher: Demonstrates collaborative leadership with researchers, nurse leaders, clinical staff and other health professionals, to generate knowledge and make practice changes based on research findings, assessing the results from organizational and departmental quality improvement processes as priority
- Clinical Leadership: Provides leadership in meeting system goals, at the organizational, division, and departmental level.
- Demonstrates accountability for professional responsibilities and self-development.

- 3-5 years Clinical healthcare (acute or hospital)

- Registered Nurse Arkansas - Arkansas State Board of Nursing
- Registered Nurse Mississippi - Mississippi Board of Nursing
- Registered Nurse Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Nursing
- There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position.
- Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact.
- Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.
- Exposure to excessive heat or cold as required.
- Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
- Frequent travel outside hospital, as indicated.
- Frequent handling or administering of narcotics.
- Ability to read and write to communicate orally and in writing with other individuals.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit in one place, stand, walk, squat, kneel, reach, twist, crawl, and bend throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motion, as well as using hands for gripping and squeezing.
- Ability to use hands and feet together for repetitive coordinated motions.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
