We have an immediate opening for a full-time Nursing Assistant to support our Spinal Cord Injury/Ortho unit.
SHIFTS:
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Nursing Assistant to support our Spinal Cord Injury/Ortho unit.
SHIFTS:
- Full-time
- 3pm - 11pm
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring that patients arrive to Therapies on time
- Assist with ADL's which include toileting, bathing, eating, etc.
- Assess and record vitals, assist with transporting patients to and from Therapies, and other duties as assigned
- Responsible for assisting the licensed nurses in the performance of delegated nursing procedures and functional rehabilitation tasks for which the assistant has been trained at either a basic or advanced level to meet rehabilitation patient’s needs.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- High school education or equivalent required
- CNA, Nursing Assistant or Therapy Tech training and/or satisfactory previous experience required
- Satisfactory completion of MRC rehabilitation orientation and advanced training programs for rehab tech/nursing assistant required once the employee has been hired
***Although this position does not require certification, it does require at least 1 year on direct, hands-on patient care.***
