Unit Descriptions:
Brain Injury Program – patients who have suffered a brain injury, stroke or debility.
*Skills refined: IV therapy initiation and management, catheterizations, tube feedings, medication administration, body mechanics, patient transfers, cognitive retraining and behavior modification, neurological assessment, time
management, communication, organization, interpersonal skills and patient/family education.
*Skills refined: IV therapy initiation and management, catheterizations, tube feedings, medication administration, body mechanics, patient transfers, cognitive retraining and behavior modification, neurological assessment, time
management, communication, organization, interpersonal skills and patient/family education.
Stroke Program – patients who have suffered a stroke or amputation.
*Skills refined: IV therapy initiation and management, wound care, catheterizations, tube feedings, medication administration, body mechanics, patient transfers, time management, communication, organization, interpersonal skills, patient/family education, and the disease process management.
Spinal Cord/Orthopedic Injury Program - patients who have suffered spinal cord injuries or received some type of orthopedic surgery.
