We have an immediate opening for a Therapy Tech to support our Inpatient Therapy Department.
SHIFT:
- Full-time
- Days
- Some Weekend work is required
BASIC FUNCTION:
- Performs patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist
- Assist Therapist as instructed with patient-related activities, departmental maintenance and departmental support tasks
- Performs support tasks including but not limited to patient transport, equipment pick-up and delivery, equipment set-up and take-down, wheelchair maintenance, infection control, sign out/sign in on schedule board and maintaining temperature logs
- Assists Therapist as instructed with patient related activities, e.g., ambulating a patient, assisting with gait training, observing patient that has been set up on bike, etc.
- Performs routine cleaning tasks, clinic maintenance and equipment maintenance
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills in order to effectively support the programs and services of MRC
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- One year experience as an aid/technician in a related health care environment is preferred
