Must-Have :

Basic medical-surgical experience

Job Description :

Work in a rehabilitation unit providing care for patients with various needs such as those requiring Continuous Passive Motion (CPM), some intravenous therapy, and utilizing Meditech Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

Manage a patient ratio of 1 : 5 to 1 : 6 with support from Patient Care Technicians (PCT), adjusted based on census.

Perform typical medical-surgical tasks as required by unit needs.

Collaborate with a core staff of 15 Registered Nurses (RN) and additional PRN staff, working with all RN and PCT teams during both day and night shifts.

Contribute to a team-focused environment, working closely with other disciplines including case management and therapy.

May need to float to orthopedic / telemetry areas as required.

Adhere to the dress code, with dark blue scrubs as the standard attire.

Maintain and uphold unit guidelines and policies consistently.

Environment involves working every other weekend as on weekdays for even distribution of staffing needs.

Preferred or Nice to Have :

Experience in rehabilitation nursing.

Personality Fit :

Strong teamwork skills with other disciplines, including therapy and case management.
