Description
The English Program in the Division of Humanities at Methodist University is looking for adjunct instructors for teaching engaging and interactive online courses at the introductory level. Our current course offering is Work and the Workplace in Literature, but more topics will soon be offered, possibly including: Science and Medicine in Literature, The Natural Environment in Literature, and Legal Studies in Literature.
Responsibilities:
- Teach one section of Work and the Workplace in Literature during the Spring 2025 semester (with opportunities for more courses in future semesters).
- Provide quality online instruction, including the delivery of constructive feedback and evaluation on student work in a timely manner.
- Hold virtual office hours to support students and address their questions or concerns.

Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements: A Master’s degree in English is required, with at least 18 credit hours in literature courses, at the graduate level, from an accredited institution.
- Teaching Experience: Experience teaching literature courses in English preferred, with particular preference for experience in online teaching.
