The following position is available at our office in Sudbury, MA :

Job Summary :

The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing premium customer service, building relationships of mutual trust with all customers (Internal and External) and suppliers, to provide tooling and work holding solutions. The expectation is to exceed customers’ expectations and support growing sales for the company. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and customer service skills to effectively bridge the gap between engineering solutions and business needs.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in our sectors.
  • Act as the main point of contact for technical and sales inquiries.
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends.
  • Provide technical consultation on customer requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Offer technical advice and address technical challenges.
  • Develop product demonstrations and training for customers.
  • Responsible for Proposal, Quotation Preparation, Order entry from start to completion.
  • Actively remaining on top of the latest market intelligence and reporting.
  • Responsible for maintaining all Technical Documentation around your projects.
  • On-Site Support for customers, as required.
  • Passionate about continuous learning and development, to stay abreast of the latest trends.

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Ability to read complex blueprints & drawings.
  • Customer service, presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience with CNC Machine Tools, Tooling, Work Holding and the terminology associated
  • Familiarity with project management solutions
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, while working independently
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency (PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience working with CRMs (Salesforce, Infor CSI, etc.)
  • Minimum Education and Experience :

  • Engineering Degree with 3 years’ experience in the machine tool industry preferred; a combination of education and extensive CNC experience can also be considered.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • None
  • Travel Requirements :

  • Approximately 5% of time, as needed
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
