Methuen Public Schools Counselor for Extended School Year (ESY) Program VACANCY NOTICE THE AVAILABILITY OF THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON SUFFICIENT FUNDING AND ENROLLMENT TITLE: Counselor for Extended School Year Program DATE OF OPENING: July 2025 QUALIFICATIONS: Certified or certifiable as a school counselor/school psychologist. Counseling experience with school aged children with special needs. Experience in consulting to teachers in addressing social-emotional issues with students. Knowledge of social skills programs. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide ongoing support to program teachers for addressing social-emotional challenges presented by students in the program. To provide counseling services to students, as needed. To plan and implement social skills programs, as needed, for students with special needs. Programming may include social skills groups and response to emergency situations. SALARY: As per current contract, up to four hours per day, up to four days per week, up to six weeks (depending on assignment).
