About the Position:
We are currently seeking linguists nationwide with experience monitoring for the Department of Homeland Security Investigations (ICE). This position is contingent upon a contract award from Homeland Security.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring live audio and text, including slang and colloquialisms, in real-time manner
- Translating and interpreting in English and applicant language
- Summarizing and translating live audio and text
- Adequately prioritizing tasks while demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills
- Adapting well under pressure and functioning cohesively in a team environment
- Typing at speeds exceeding 40 words per minute
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and applicant language
- Clear, concise, effective written and spoken communication skills in English and applicant language
- Experience monitoring, analyzing, transcribing, translating, and interpreting for Homeland Security Investigations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to multiple government operating systems
- Up-to-date understanding of modern social media and text messaging terminology in English and applicant language
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Day and evening shifts
- Rotating schedule
- Weekday and weekend opportunities
