Role Value Proposition :
The Senior Financial Analyst position is a pivotal role within the Global Technology & Operations (GTO) Finance Department supporting MetLife's Global Technology organization representing an annual spend of $1.5B. The role involves financial reporting and analysis, as well as providing financial and business advisory support to leadership and members of senior management. This individual will specialize primarily in producing, analyzing, and monitoring financial expenses for the purpose of developing recommendations to senior management on financial risks and opportunities. This individual will also play a critical role in a collaborative team environment to help facilitate the completion of realistic budgets and forecasts, monitor month-end and quarter-end financial closes, and offer solutions to financial challenges and obstacles.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborates effectively with the team and related business partners to coordinate and develop monthly forecasts and annual budgets, including the completion of workforce planning objectives.
- Supports in the month-end close processes including journal entry review, vendor and transactional expense analyses, daily expense projections, and the preparation of financial variance commentaries.
- Uses financial systems to collect data and conduct analyses, offering informed recommendations based on results.
- Leverages financial systems for data collection and analysis, providing well-informed recommendations derived from the findings.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills :
The salary range for applicants for this position is $76,500 - $102,000.
