Our Accounting & Reconciliations team operates within the Financial Management Group, focusing on ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance across various IT departments. We play a critical role in managing financial processes, particularly assisting with the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close, to ensure that actuals are reported accurately, and accounting rules are followed.
The Financial Consultant is responsible for overseeing the accrual entries and third-party spend management for the Global Technology (GT) departments, including Application Development, Global Infrastructure, and Global Risk & Security. This position is essential for supporting accurate financial reporting and optimizing vendor expense management. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of full-cycle accounting. The Financial Consultant will work closely with the director and team members to validate and record vendor expenses.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the validation and recording of monthly accruals and project costing entries for vendor expenses.
- Create and maintain meticulous records for prepaid and expense amortization entries.
- Aid in the analysis of actual versus forecast variances during month-end reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Policies & Procedures.
- Assist with the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives to increase standardization, optimization, and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Controller team.
- Assist with the preparation of ad-hoc project reports and analysis as needed.
Required:
- B.A./B.S. in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience with general ledger and financial systems.
- 5 years of financial analysis experience in analytical roles.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and accounting systems and procedures.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including lookups, pivots, and formula statements.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to interpret and analyze large data sets effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex information clearly.
- Experience working with ERP FMS systems such as Oracle Peoplesoft (GL, AP, and Project Costing modules).
- Familiarity with tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud and PowerBI for reporting and dashboard creation.
- Understanding of Apptio Targetprocess and Agile practices a plus.
