The associate will primarily support:
- Technology Teams and ARTs- Engaging directly with Product Owners, Product Managers, Architects, Developers, Stakeholders and other Delivery professionals to teach and model effective agile development techniques and drive continuous improvement
- Enterprise Agile Enablement (AE) Operations - Sharing learnings from portfolio engagements with the central hub team to help curate and distribute current best practices
- The Agile Enablement Senior Coach will play an internal-customer-facing role, helping leaders and teams implement modern product development and delivery methodologies via strategic engagements with MetLife portfolios.
- This role provides a unique opportunity to grow within MetLife’s Agile Enablement team, develop deep expertise in enterprise agility, and contribute to the continuous evolution of our value delivery.
- Supporting maturing agile teams as a player/coach while upskilling team members for sustainability (2-3 agile teams simultaneously)
- Scaling agile teams into teams of teams (ARTs) and support the ARTs until they can operate independently
- Conducting assessments of current state development and delivery processes, providing recommendations, and driving continuous improvement
- Assisting in implementing pragmatic Lean, Agile, and DevOps best practices
- Leveraging Azure DevOps (AzDO) and other agile lifecycle management (ALM) tools to enhance team efficiency (Target Process and Service Now.)
- Delivering presentations and training fit for various levels of maturity
- Facilitating ad-hoc activities or workshops to support lean, agility, and process improvement
- Identifying appropriate metrics to measure flow, competency, and outcomes
- Driving alignment between business and technology stakeholders
- Remaining current with industry-recognized certifications (ex. SPC, Scrum alliance CTC)
Required:
- 5 years of experience in agile software delivery and/or DevOps
- Hands-on experience in a key role (Coach, Product, Architect) on agile teams and familiarity with the end-to-end agile software delivery lifecycle
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps (AzDO), and other ALM tools (ex: Target Process, Service Now)
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Systems thinking and the ability to drive long-term strategy
- Ability to work cross-functionally in an evolving environment
- Strong communication skills (including written) with the ability to adapt to various audiences
- Experience working in scaled agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale)
- Foundational knowledge of cloud, CI/CD, or DevOps principles
- Certification in Scrum, SAFe, or Agile methodologies
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, Industrial/Systems Engineering or a related discipline
