Metpar Corp. is seeking a facilities manager for our eastern TN location. The primary responsibility of this position will be to coordinate operations and preparations of a new facility with respect to setting up the following: electrical, plumbing, airlines, carpentry and hook-ups to the manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate must have experience in machine maintenance and be fully versed in all aspects of facilities maintenance. This position will assist in hiring a maintenance crew and demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills.

Job Description Summary
- In-depth knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, heating/HVAC
- Must have the requisite skills and knowledge to run power distribution throughout the facility.
- Supervise all maintenance programs relating to the interior and exterior conditions and appearance of the property.
- Communicates, Plans project specific work schedule, helps manage Independent Contractors' work schedule, day to day job activities and coordinates material and equipment requirements.
- Planning/organizing: ability to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in scope or direction and be flexible to adopting changes quickly
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, including technology, tools, and processes
- Strong analytical abilities for understanding and interpreting building system documents, prints and layouts are required
- Accountability: the ability to take responsibility for action and results
- Ability to delegate tasks, follow up on assigned tasks and report on progress of work
- Ability to train others on technical components, applicable regulations and internal procedures to ensure efficient and safe plant operations
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Engineering, or technical training or certifications preferred
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) preferred
- Ability to read and understand construction specifications and blueprints
- Skilled in Building Management Systems maintenance and monitoring
- Knowledge in maintaining, operating, and repairing all associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Work will be both indoor and outdoor and require long periods of movement and activity.
- Employment typically requires some: climbing, reaching, and standing, walking, and working in noisy environments.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Full time: 40 hrs./week salaried position
