Capability Unit
Metrea Strategic Mobility (MSM) operates a fleet of KC-135 aircraft, offering an air-to-air refueling service that seamlessly, safely, and professionally integrates into military aviation training and operations.
Position Summary
This role supports the Flight Operations department by performing various tasks supporting internal personnel and external customers per the approved Metrea Strategic Mobility (MSM) processes.
Role and Responsibilities
- Brief operations leadership on the daily flight schedule, aircraft maintenance status, notices to airmen, flight weather, and any changes that arise thereafter.
- Coordinate daily flight schedule changes with Maintenance and Operations
- Assist flight managers in tracking aircraft throughout and relaying any necessary information.
- Provide general day-to-day operations planning and support, scheduling, task management, special project coordination, and tracking.
- Routinely evaluates current program and business processes and participates in process improvement efforts
- Complete special tasks as assigned
- Assist in the collection and processing of post-flight paperwork.
- Generate flight summary reports for the Program Management Office
Performs clerical duties including typing filing, related to office activities - Ensures expense reports are processed and coded accurately, in compliance with company policy to provide prompt reimbursement
- All other duties assigned.
Skills and Experience
Education, Experience, and Certificates
Education: High school diploma or GED, and must be enrolled in an accredited university aviation degree program, preferably in aviation management.
Experience: Aviation-related activities.
- Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance
- Must have a good command of the English language, oral and written
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, government regulations, and procedure manuals and understand technical instructions furnished in written or verbal form.
- Must be able to accurately communicate information.
- Must be able to decipher METARs, TAF’s, weather radar, and NOTAMs
- Ability to track aircraft using multiple platforms including Foreflight.
- Must have the ability to multitask and work effectively, both individually and as a member of a project team, while ensuring timely completion of assignments
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers.
- Must be able to take initiative and work independently.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time job of 20 hours per week carried out from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change by department and business needs. Non-exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

This job operates in an environment that varies from a clerical office setting using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets to a warehouse setting with various weather and temperature conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, and cold.
